Brussels book launch report: “A European Union with 36 Members? Perspectives and Risks”

On 12 May 2014, the Center for EU Enlargement Studies (CENS) launched in Brussels its book entitled "A European Union with 36 Members? Perspectives and Risks”. The book launch held at the premises of Open Society European Policy Institute (OSEPI) was an opportunity to present the final outcome of the multi-annual project called "EU36", whose main goal was to support the issue of enlargement and to discuss the future political, economic, socio-cultural and security aspects of a greater EU.

Transition Experience & Hungary's International Development Cooperation Policy - Publication by Zsuzsanna Vegh

The publication by Zsuzsanna Vegh, research assistant at the CEU Center for EU Enlargement Studies, addresses how the so-called transition experience of Hungary appears in the country's official, bilateral development cooperation policy since such activities have been re-lauched in the beginning of the 2000s. The paper also highlights the challenges of researching the topic in the current policy environment in Hungary.

The common publication of the Center for EU Enlargement Studies, the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, the Manfred Wörner Foundation and the Regional Branch of the National Institute for Security Studies in Uzhgorod titled "Ukraine at Crossroads. Prospects of Ukraine's Relations with the European Union and Hungary" is now available online.

White Power Music: Recent publication of Szele Áron

Szele Áron, Research Assistant at the Center for European Enlargement Studies, has recently contributed a chapter to the book entitled:  "White Power Music: Scenes of Extreme Right Cultural Resistance". The work, the second in the "Mapping the Far Right" book series, was published in October 2012, at Islington by Searchlight Magazine Ltd. and the Radicalism and New Media Research Group
