The purpose of the project is to offer a comparative survey of European policy trend-setters’ (e.g. politicians, diplomats, journalists, experts) opinions in the V4 countries, providing a unique insight into the European policy cultures of the four states. It will examine whether there are new areas for European policy cooperation and where the V4 should not have excessive expectations. The results will help to shape the internal cohesion of the V4 as well as to build the new positive agenda, which the grouping lacks right now. It should also commence new discussion on the V4’s future. Last but not least, it will cover the relations of the V4 countries with Germany and the role of German European policy in the V4 countries.

The project is led by the Association for International Affairs (AMO, Czech Republic) and is implemented in partnership with the CEU Center for Neighborhood Studies (CENS, Hungary), the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (RC SFPA, Slovakia) and the Kościuszko Institute (KI, Poland).
