On June 18 2009, the Center for EU Enlargement Studies together with its partner institutes - the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA), the Institute of Public Affairs of Poland (IPA) and the EUROPEUM Institute For European Policy of the Czech Republic - launched its new research project supported by the International Visegrad Fund (IVF). The strategic grant in the amount of EUR70,000 aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the assistance channeled to the civil society sectors of these countries.

In the framework of the 3 years project, a thorough examination will be carried out on the activities of donor organizations operating in the two target countries. The research concentrates on civil society assistance projects and the fields where most donor assistance is directed. Based on the findings, recommendations will be formulated for those areas where a gap in assistance exists, the identification of which will facilitate and enhance the use of civil society assistance funds of V4 countries and the International Visegrad Foundation.
