CENS hosts EaP Civil Society Fellow from Georgia, Ms Mariam Amashukeli
Ms. Mariam Amashukeli is a Tbilisi based Sociologist. She has been working as a researcher at the Center for Social Sciences (CSS) since 2012. She is doing her PhD in Sociology at Tbilisi State University. Her research interests are mostly in Europeanization mechanisms in the ENP countries, religious radicalization and violent extremism in the wider Caucasus region and quality assurance strategies in European higher education systems. Along with various research projects she leads her own organization mainly concentrated on civil activism. Ms. Amashukeli has been selected for the award of 2017 EaP Civil Society Fellowship that is financed through the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Facility. In terms of the fellowship she is hosted by CENS as a visiting researcher to work on the issues of radicalization and (counter) violent extremism in Georgia.
