CENS researcher Annamária Kiss participated in the week-long ‘International Youth Meeting 2015. Solidarity for Peace Summer School’ held in Kraków and Dobczyce, Poland between 28 June - 7 July 2015. The summer school was organized by the Eastern Initiative Institute and the Jagiellonian University, and funded by the Polish Ministry of Defence. This year it focused on contemporary problems related to European and global security, lectures and workshops were devoted to the concepts of peacebuilding, human security, the identity-conflict-nexus, revolution in military affairs, peace support operations, as well as the historical memory. The youth meeting gathered around 45 students from Europe and beyond. Annamária held a workshop on Georgian-Abkhazian conflict settlement where students had to offer their recommendations for the resolution of the conflict.
