Sarajevo and Budapest presentations of the "Civil Society in the EU Integration of the Western Balkans" report

Two presentations of the report “Civil Society in the EU Integration of the Western Balkans” in which CENS took part were held at the EU Info Center in Sarajevo on 13 November 2014 and in Budapest at the CEU on 27 November 2014.

On 13 October 2014 the Center for EU Enlargement Studies (CENS) launched in Budapest its book entitled “A European Union with 36 Members? Perspectives and Risks”. The book presentation held at the premises of the Central European University (CEU) was an opportunity to present the final outcome of the multi-annual project called “EU36” whose main goal was to support the issue of enlargement and to discuss the future political, economic, socio-cultural and security aspects of a greater EU.

On September 25, 2014, the Center for EU Enlargement Studies of the Central European University, in cooperation with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Budapest, organized an international conference entitled “Engagement or Containment: EU-Russia Relations in Turbulent Times and the Role of Central Europe.” The keynote speeches were provided by Reinhard Krumm, director of the Department for Central and Eastern Europe at the Berlin office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, and Wolfgang Behrendt, desk officer of the Russia Division of the European External Action Service.
