The Center for EU Enlargement Studies (CENS) has been taking part in the project entitled “Proud to be a European – The Importance of Active Citizenship” led by the Linum Foundation and supported by the Central European Initiative (CEI). CENS researcher Annamária Kiss participated in the week-long ‘International Youth Meeting 2015. Solidarity for Peace Summer School’ held in Kraków and Dobczyce, Poland between 28 June - 7 July 2015. The summer school was organized by the Eastern Initiative Institute and the Jagiellonian University, and funded by the Polish Ministry of Defence.

Roundtables conclude the "Destination: Transparency" project

The final results of the "Destination: Transparency" project published in the report "Anti-Corruption in Moldova and Ukraine: A V4 Handbook of Best Practices" were presented at a series of roundtables organized by the Polish Institute of International Affairs in Brussels, Chisinau and Kyiv between July 2 and 9, 2015.

Anti-corruption in Moldova and Ukraine - Final report of the "Destination: Transparency" project is out

Corruption is the most oft-cited obstacle in relations between the EU and two of its eastern partners, Moldova and Ukraine. Seeping through public and private exchanges alike, systemic corruption impedes sectoral reforms—a crucial element of modernisation. The handbook offers concrete case studies from the Visegrad countries’ anti-corruption policy tracks and proposes solutions on how Moldova and Ukraine can best capitalise on the EU’s expertise, financial assistance and political momentum in anti-corruption reforms to minimise risk and optimise success.
