This event will attempt to contextualize the elections held in Bosnia and Herzegovina last October within the framework of the 1995 Dayton Peace Accords. It will not only give an overview of the election results and predict how they will shape the next four years in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also explore what the elections results reveal about the functioning of the Dayton Peace Accords twenty years after its signing. The speakers will focus in particular on the state of ethno-national politics in the country in light of the recent elections. Finally, they will touch upon the wider geopolitical implications of this new government, in particular the prospects for EU and NATO membership.
