EU-Turkey relations are entering a significant phase in the coming year. Turkey is in the transit line of two most important energy frontiers for EU, the Middle East and the Caspian regions. Developing these gas and oil reserves require large financial funds, long-standing and reliable business relations and considerable political efforts for the European Union. Turkey, with its distinguished role in the region and far-reaching experience, is a natural partner in these European aspirations.
