CENS intern at the Prague Student Summit

The CEU Center for European Neighborhood Studies intern Dilan Ezgi Koc represented the Hungarian delegate in the Prague Student Summit in 23 July-29 July 2017. The summit was for the Visegrad Model + Germany. The university students from those countries participated in a whole week-long, thoroughly prepared educational programme and formal debates and simulations. The agenda was as the following:

  • Modification of the European Common Asylum System
  • Implementation of the NATO Warsaw/Brussels Summit commitments
  • The future of Europe in the context of the Juncker Plan

On the 25th of July, the Hungarian delegation had an opportunity to visit the embassy of Hungary and ask questions to Mr. Ambassador regarding the Hungarian foreign policy from the perspective of both a European Union and Visegrad country. Ms. Koc had also an opportunity to discuss the current situation of the CEU and the government reactions with the ambassador.

On the 26th of July, Łukasz Janulewicz from the CENS gave a lecture entitled “Migration and Modification of the European Common Asylum System”.
