Event Report – “India and the EU in today’s world”
CEU Center for EU Enlargement Studies (CENS), the Embassy of India in Hungary, CEU Rectorate, and CEU Department of International Relations and European Studies (IRES) hosted a public lecture on 11 January 2012 entitled “India and the EU in today’s world”. The lecture was delivered by Ambassador H.E. Gauri Shankar Gupta to a distinguished group of diplomats, ambassadors, students and university professors.
The lecture was divided into three main topics: first, basic facts on India; second, India as a fast growing economy; third, India-EU relations. The opening speech was given by John Shattuck, Rector and President of CEU, and chaired by Péter Balázs, Director of CENS and former Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
